Therianthropy

This piece, exhibited in the Margaret Whitlam Galleries, The Wilkins Collection,
explores the duplicitous relationship between humans and their primal instinct, addressing the boundaries humans make between themselves and animals. In the amalgamation of beast and human there is an interchange of their qualities and the metamorphosis creates a new hybrid. I chose to use pencil and to hand draw my work in order to communicate my concepts and ideas most effectively, and to define the response of the viewer.
